How to add your M3U or Xtream playlist to OTOO
Add your playlist from your phone in under a minute — no typing long URLs with the remote. Works for M3U links and Xtream logins.
You never type a long playlist URL with a remote in OTOO. Instead you add it from your phone or computer, and the app picks it up. Here is the whole process.
1. Get your device code
Open OTOO on your TV, stick, phone or box. The start screen shows a device code in the form of a MAC address, like 0A:1B:2C:3D:4E:5F. Note it down.
2. Open My Playlist on any device
On your phone or computer, go to otoo.app/mylist and enter that device code. This opens the playlist manager for that specific device — no account or password needed.
3a. Adding an M3U playlist
Paste the M3U / M3U8 link your provider gave you. If you also have an EPG (XMLTV) link, paste it in the guide field so you get a programme guide. Give it a name and save.
3b. Adding an Xtream Codes login
Choose Xtream and fill in three things from your provider: the server URL (like http://example.com:8080), your username and password. Xtream is the better choice when you have it — you get EPG, catch-up and VOD automatically.
The "get.php" trick
Many providers hand out an M3U link like:
http://host:8080/get.php?username=user&password=placeholder&type=m3u_plus
That is actually an Xtream account in disguise. Paste it into My Playlist and press Convert — OTOO turns it into a proper Xtream login, so you get the guide and catch-up you would otherwise miss with a plain M3U.
4. Back to the TV
Restart OTOO (or wait for its next refresh) and your channels, movies and series appear. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown on screen again.
OTOO does not provide playlists. Use the M3U link or Xtream details from your own provider.
